MB6 Gearbox 2018

The MB6 FWD gearbox is used on the Mokka, Grandland, Crossland and Corsa.

Noise on idle issue then disappears once clutch has been depressed?

One of the most common problems with the mb6 gearbox is the reverse gear idle either breaking or bending teeth

This can be caused by not fully depressing the clutch whist selecting reverse. In this particular gearbox the reverse gear idler continuously runs with the layshaft so once its damaged it will create a noise / rattle on idle.

The MB6 gearbox also suffer with breaking selector forks, in many cases this can cause loss of drive or poor selection.
